 5.  Proven experience acquiring and growing accounts.

We are looking for a sales person with related industry experience.

  • Can work remote. Vermont if working from company site.

  

Company is looking for an Account Executive who wants to make a big impact at a growing, profitable company focused in the Spatial Data space. This is an independent contributor role with a focus on closing large, profitable deals. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a winning team and receive excellent compensation for excellent performance. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales and working remotely is an option. Main responsibilities include: prospecting and closing new business, maintaining and growing existing accounts and accurately updating progress in SFA software. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

New Business

  • Research and target prime verticals and companies hunter mentality with ability/desire to make daily outbound cold calls

 Effectively move inbound leads to closure

 

  • Target the appropriate role within the organization

 

  • Responsible for entire sales cycle and closing profitable business

 

  • Account Management: dedicated customer service, such that you are the go-to person for this customer for all assistance including:
  • Consistently expanding our contact network within the company

 

  • Creating and executing on a plan for regularly probing their needs

 

  • Developing a "key facts" knowledge of these customers such as: organizational structure of enterprise; financial status; functional areas within their organization that feed into and out of the services we provide (dependencies)

 

  • Advocating customer needs to enhance internal product development initiatives

 

  • Attending customer-specific trade shows and/or customers with specific objectives

 

Expected Skills/Experience:

 

  • At three (3) to six (6) years of experience in a junior/senior sales role selling high-tech products

 

  • Experience within or selling into the following industries: real estate, direct marketing, SoLoMo, geo-advertising is a must

 

  • Experience within the GIS industry a plus

 

  • Proven experience acquiring and growing accounts

 

  • Ability to document and communicate customer requirements to the production team

 

  • Excels within a start-up environment, requiring minimal-to-no hand holding

 

  • Experience with contact management tools and discipline to use them

 

  • Exceptional phone and writing skills

 

  • Proactive work ethic & proven sales skills

 

  • Exceptional time management skills

 

  • True concern for customer needs and listening skills to uncover the non-obvious

 

  • Willingness to travel as needed

 

  • Team player with the ability and willingness to share advanced sales knowledge
